Chinese Medicine SMALL INTESTINE – Hand Tai Yang Acupuncture Meridian

SI 1 – promotes lactation, swollen throat, eye screens

Location (shaoze): 1 fen proximal to the ulnar side of the corner of the little finger.

SI 3 – protects Wei Qi, stiff neck/headache, night sweat, arm disorders

Location (houxi): at the end of the crease on the ulnar side of the metacarpal bone when a fist is made.

SI 6 – [Xi-cleft] blurred vision, arm/neck problems

Location (yanglao): when the hand is placed on the chest, the points is found on the radial side of the high points of the head of the ulna.

SI 7 – [Connect to Heart] mania/withdrawal, arm problems

Location (zhizheng): 5 cun above the wrist crease between the border of the ulna & the muscle belly of the flexor carpi ulnaris.

SI 8 – arm/neck/shoulder

Location (xiaohai): in the dip between the ulnar olecranon & the medial epicondyle of the humerus.

SI 10 – arm/neck weak/shoulder

Location (naoshu): straight above the posterior crease of the axilla, in the depression below the spine of the scapula.

SI 11 – arm/neck/shoulder

Location (tianzong): one third of the distance from the midpoints of the inferior border of the scaular spine to the inferior angle of the scapula.

SI 12 – arm/neck/shoulder

Location (bingfeng): above tianzong in the center of the suprascapular fossa (just above the spine), between T2 & the tip of the acromion.

SI 14 – neck/shoulder/back

Location (jianwaishu): 3 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of T1 (DU 13).

SI 15 – neck/shoulder/back

Location (jianzhongzhu): 2 cun lateral to the lower border of the spinous process of C7 (DU 14).

SI 17 – deafness/tinnitus, Plum-Pit syndrome, sore throat

Location (tianrong): in the depression between the angle of the mandible & the anterior border of the sternocleidomastoid muscle.

SI 18 – facial paralysis, twitching eyelids

Location (quanliao): directly below the outer canthus, in the depression at the lower border of the zygomatic bone.

SI 19 – [meeting points of Small Intestine Gallbladder San Jiao] opens ear portals

Location (tinggong): with mouth open, in the depression between the middle of the tragus & the condyloid process of the mandible.

I have been a certified dental assistant for the past 16 years. Over that time I have been interested in many of the healing arts. In 1993, I became a reflexologist and continued to study other forms of alternative health. My passion for Homeopathy began when I was treated by a homeopath in 1998. I really resonated with the philosophy and treatment of homeopathy. Only after a few consultations I knew I had to become involved and help heal others. With restored health and a great deal of energy, I am driven to study this wonderful healing art. I have successfully completed the first milestone in my homeopathic career by graduating from the Vancouver Homeopathic Academy. I hope to write my Certification of Classical Homeopathy in the next few years. I am a member of the West Coast Homeopathic Society and regularly attend study sessions to stay updated and educated. I also attend local trade shows and educate the public on Homeopathy. I am recently married and reside in Langley with two cats and a golden retriever named Montana. My animals are wonderful homeopathic patients.
