This superficial vesicular skin infection occurs on normal skin but most commonly on the legs in children. The lesions vary from pee-sized vesicopustules to large ringworm like lesions which progress rapidly. They most commonly appear in summer and fall in children 2-6 years of age. The local lymph nodes will be swollen and can usually begin healing with no scarring in 10 days.

Summer Heat – Qing Shu Yin
Toxic Heat – severe blisters and whole body toxic heat symptoms
Wu Wei Xiao Du Yin
Damp Heat Stagnation – large eruptions with red surrouding, itchiness, blisters are easily broken
Long Dan Xie Gan Tang
EXTERNAL
Break and discharge blisters to relieve pressure – fluid IS INFECTIOUS
Disinfect area and use Qing Dai powder
Keep area clean, cool and dry and change dressings often
