Indications: oozing, itchy, red skin lesions over a large part of the body, yellow or white tongue coating, forceful, floating and rapid pulse.
Herbal analysis: Jing Jie, Fang Feng, Niu Bang Zi, and Chan Tui (kings) expel external wind from the skin thus relieving itching. The ministers Cang Zhu dries Damp, Ku Shen clears Damp/Heat, and Mu Tong drains Damp/Heat through diuresis. Other ministers Shi Gao and Zhi Mu clear Heat in the Qi level which inhibits the condition from going deeper. Sheng Di Huang (cools blood), Dang Gui (nourishes and invigorates blood), and Hei Zhi Ma (nourishes the blood and moistens) are all the assistants. Gan Cao is the deputy, it clears Heat and toxicity while harmonizing the actions of the other herbs.

Indications: headache in any part of the head with fever and chills, dizziness, nasal congestion, thin white tongue coat with floating pulse.
