Chinese Snake Gourd, Compound Q, Gua Lou, Gua-Lou, Trichosanthes, Trichosanthes Fruit Peel. Trichosanthes kirilowii.
Family: Curcurbitaceae.

Properties: SWEET – COLD

Dosage: 9 – 30g.

Meridian: LARGE INTESTINE, LUNG, STOMACH

-Pi (peal)

-clears and transforms phlegm heat, dissipates nodules

-Ren \ Zi (seeds)

-expels pus and promotes healing of sores (mastitis)

-moistens intestines (constipation due to dry)

Also Used For:

Orally, Chinese cucumber fruit is used for coughing, reducing fever, swelling, tumors, and diabetes.
Intravaginally, Chinese cucumber fruit is used as an abortifacient.

I have been a certified dental assistant for the past 16 years. Over that time I have been interested in many of the healing arts. I also attend local trade shows and educate the public on Homeopathy. I am recently married and reside in Langley with two cats and a golden retriever named Montana. My animals are wonderful homeopathic patients.
